Manga rec: Bokko
Started reading Bokko, and I like it a lot! Kakuri, the main character, is super badass, and look at this sassy pose he’s in here!!
Anyways, here’s the summary for it.
“2300 years ago in China there existed a clan called the men of Bokk trained to aid and defend threatened cities with their lives. Kakuri, one of these men, is summoned to the little city of Ryo. Distrusted and even hated, Kakuri eventually gains the trust of Ryo’s citizens as Tcho empire’s vast army sets their camp on the other side of the river.”
I’m only on volume 4 so far, but I definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy historical manga dealing with war and vicious battles strategies (like Historie).
Also it looks like it’s been scanlated from an old French version or something of the series, so it’s all been flipped to left to right instead of right to left.
